Pens and prams and piled-on paths

Mike Church and myself having lots of fun siphoning narratives with young families in Illustration Workshops in Newport a couple of weeks ago:

“As part of Newport Council’s Bettws Reads project, Literature Wales hosted Bettws Illustrates, a make your own graphic novel workshop open to the public in Bettws Library.

Performance poet and writer Mike Church and illustrator Osian Grifford helped young families create their own illustrated zine.”

“Using computer games and day-to-day life in Bettws as inspiration they first storyboarded ideas before creating the zine itself on one sheet of A3 paper. With a few clever folds it became Poo City Rollers, the story of one pram’s journey around dog mess littered pavements, dodging bird poo from above.”
